Tim Simpson
I was born and raised in Tecumseh and moved away for about ten years and then moved back into the Tecumseh School District in 2004. I have been on the school board for the past 5.5 years. I currently own two businesses in Tecumseh and another business in Ann Arbor. I have a Senior attending Tecumseh, and two children that graduated from Tecumseh.
Why I am running for the School Board
I want to continue to serve to make sure we complete the strategic plan. I also think it is important that there is a cohesive board in place with the new Superintendent.

I want to create more Career & Technical opportunities for our students. and make sure to retain and recruit the best people to work in our district.

We need to pass the Sinking fund. The current board and I have approved a policy that 3% of the General Fund must be used for capital improvements for our aging buildings, unfortunately, this has not been done over the last 24 years. We must make sure our roofs don’t leak, that our heating and cooling systems work, and fix the pool roof. We also must implore our State Government to fund us to keep up with inflation. The current budget that the state passed did not increase the per pupil funding, this is only going to move our funding further away from keeping up with inflation.
